This is a great exercise that I picked up from Julia Cameron while listening to a lecture one afternoon. It has helped me to work through a handful of heavy situations and I always find myself feeling lighter at the end, with much more compassion and love for both myself and for those involved.
Grab a pen and some paper and write down the following questions, ask them to your higher self, your wiser self, your Obi Wan Kenobi type self and write down the answers.
- What do I need to know?
- What do I need to accept?
- What do I need to try?
- What do I need to do?
- What do I need to breathe?
- What do I need to celebrate?
While you’re writing it is important to allow the answers to flow through you unrestricted. Be open to hearing whatever it is that finds itself on the paper. Make sure to go into the process without judgement and an open mind.
Have fun with it! You never know, it just might clear some stuff and leave you feeling lighter and more in tune with the force!
