Why Hire A Health Coach?


This is one of the questions I am asked the most. People often wonder what benefits come with hiring a Health Coach, or what it is that we actually do. What is it that they teach us to do in Health Coaching school?

First and foremost, when working with a Health Coach (obviously I can only speak for myself. I am not speaking for all Health Coaches out there), you must find a Health Coach that is a good fit. One that you enjoy working with. A Health Coach that knows how and when to offer support and when to push you. Working with a Health Coach is similar to working with a Life Coach, together you work on improving your life. A Health Coach would do this from the perspective of your health.

As a holistic or integrative Health Coach, we look at your life as a whole, as an intricate web where everything is connected and that is the place we work from. Together we look at how your relationships, your stresses, your career, your sleep patterns and home environment effect you and your life. Since everything is connected, your relationship with food is just as important as your relationship with a spouse, family or friends and both can effect your health.

Working with a Health Coach will allow you the time and space to figure out what areas in your life need change, as well as provide you with the tools to make sustainable changes that increase balance and wellbeing in your life. Hiring a Health Coach is an investment in your life, your health and the health of those around you.

    This is also a huge part of what we do. Sometimes what we need most in life is to be listened to. The right Health Coach will listen to you and work with you to change your life for the better.
  • Looking For A Holistic Approach.
    Health Coaches that work holistically take a look at life as a whole. Since everything is connected, we look at all aspects of life and see how they can be effecting you and your health. Are you stressed at work? What does your relationship with food look like? How often do you cook at home? Do you need a creative outlet? Is your spirituality lacking? These are all things we can work on together.
