“Be still and listen” is the message that I tend to receive in January. Like the season suggests, it feels like it’s time to rest, to be still, to hibernate.

It’s become a tradition to slow down in January, to cease offerings for the month, to focus on rest and nourishment, to listen to my body, my needs and the energy of the moment. Doing so, listening to the energies allows me the ability to evolve and shift into alignment.

More and more it feels necessary to opt out of old ways of being and doing to shift into what feels sustainable, into what feels aligned with the cycles and seasons.
